Knowledge transfer partnerships: 2022 to 2023, round one
Eligibility: The lead organisation must be a UK registered higher education or further education institution, RTO or catapult. They must collaborate with a UK-registered business or a not-for-profit organisation – the business must contribute to the project costs. The funding is for "a specific, strategic innovation project that tackles one or more challenges faced by the business partner."

Heart Research UK - Translational Research Project (TRP) Grants
Eligibility: Principal investigator must be in a tenured position at the Host Institution. Funding can be used for either: Preclinical studies - "studies should be applied in nature and directed at aetiology or treatments of diseases from the outset, not exploring fundamental mechanisms of biology or disease." OR Patient-focused studies – "research that has a direct and immediate benefit on patient care including diagnostic, prevention and treatment strategies."

Clinical academia research partnerships
Eligibility: For NHS staff or staff contracted to the NHS or working in the care or public health sectors. Must have at least one research partner (from higher education institutions, NHS bodies with research capacity and public sector research establishments). The projects can address research questions from disease-specific mechanistic hypotheses to MRC/NIHR research in priority areas.
Funding: Total fund = £5,000,000.
