Engineer by training, biologist by heart, passionate about innovation, public engagement and public policy. During my academic formation I had the opportunity to take part in several projects, from regenerative medicine to computer aid diagnosis, from polymer science to electronics. My PhD has given me a thorough understanding of ATMP development and the challenges around the translational aspects of regenerative medicine. These multidisciplinary experiences allowed me to connect and integrate different areas of knowledge. On a more personal note, I strive to make science and health more accessible, collaborative and efficient. I have a special interest in science for society and sustainable development. I believe this can be achieved through better engagement with the stakeholders and a more frequent and healthier use of participatory approaches in the decision-making processes.
